Island brygge or Bryggen

Enormously popular green area and city beach, with enclosed salt water pools, including some shallow ones for kids, and a 5-m "jumping" tower, shower, grill and toilet facilities, and it is manned with life guards. Excellent spot for hanging out with locals on sunny days, and it is quite a peculiar sensation having a swim smack in the centre of the city.
